Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, here on Monday at the Presidential Palace, appointed 24 new ambassadors to various countries.

The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by Vice President Boediono and several ministers from Indonesia United Cabinet.

The newly appointed ambassadors are Foster Gultom, as Indonesian Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Harimawan Suyitno (Sri Lanka and Maldives), Trie Edie Mulyani (Colombia), Ronny Prasetio Yuliantoro (Tunisia), Marcellinus Primanti Hendrasmoro (Timor Leste), Chilman Arisman (Bahrain), Rachmat Budiman (Austria, Slovenia, UNIDO, UCITRAL, UNOV, CTBTO and IAEA), August Parengkuan (Italy, Malta, Cyprus, FAO, WFP, UNHCS and UNIDROIT), Major General (Ret) Anshory Tadjudin (Afghanistan), Admiral (Ret) Herman Prayitno (Malaysia), Benny Bahanadewa (Greece), John A Preasetio (South Korea), Niniek Kun Naryatie (Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia), Nadjib Riphat (Australia and Vanuatu), Wajid Fauzi (Yemen) and Triyono Wibowo (Indonesia`s Permanent Representative to the United Nation, WTO and other international organizations based in Geneva).(*)
