In the same location, members of BII Board of Directors, Commissioners and employees also planted trees, as the kick of the plant of 10 thousand trees in the slopes of Mount Merapi. By the availability of clean water, BII further complemented the program by donating farming tools such as tractor, corn grinding machine, padi thresner machine, grass trasher, and water pump to be used by seven beneficiary villages under coordination of Van Lith Care.
BII built clean water infrastructures in seven villages in Muntilan which includes Grogol, Pucanganom, Dadapan, Semen, Tempel, Gendelan and Trayem whereby clean water can be utilized by more than 1,360 citizens.
Last year, BII Merapi Rehabilitation Program had also built three clean water infrastructures that can be utilized by more than 450 citizens in three villages in Muntilan sub districts, including Badung, Sempon and Wates. BII also rehabilitated irigation system and road infrastructures in several villages in Magelang, reforestation and handed over communication tools to support emergency to volunteers of Kompag Merapi.
