Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake rocked northern Sumatra`s province of Aceh this morning but no casualty reported.

The quake with epicenter in the sea 290 kilometers north of the Simeulu island or around 1,700 kilometer northwest of Jakarta, hit at 0.3.30 local time.

No immediate report of damage caused by the quake, the meteorology office said.

The agency has recorded 60 quakes in Indonesia since 14 September 2012 with magnitude from 1 to 9.5 on the Richter scale.
