Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale rocked Denpasar, the capital of Bali Province, here Thursday, forcing a number of people to rush out of buildings in panic.

The quake`s epicenter was located at 9.38 degrees southern latitude and 115.01 degrees eastern longitude, around 84 km southwest Denpasar, and at a depth of 35 km, the Denpasar Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) , said.

Head of the Denpasar BMKG I Wayan Suardana added that the tremor did not have potential to trigger a tsunami.
