Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Malaysian King Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di Pertuan Agong (YDPA) Tuanku Al Haj Abdul Halim is scheduled to visit Indonesia to meet Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

"The 14th Malaysian King will be in Indonesia from December 3-8," Presidential special aide for international relations Teuku Faizasyah said in an official statement here on Monday.

He noted that the Malaysian king's visit was in response to an invitation from the Indonesian government.

"His Excellency Abdul Halim was inaugurated as the 14th Malaysian YDPA on December 13, 2011. He replaced the 13th Malaysian YDPA, His Excellency Mizan Zainal Abidin," Faizasyah stated.

President Yudhoyono will hold a bilateral meeting with King Abdul Halim on December 4.

The Malaysian king will later visit Patriot Cemetery (Kalibata) and Bali Island.

"The state visit of King Abdul Halim is expected to boost bilateral relations and cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia in various sectors," Faizasyah said.

"During the closed bilateral meeting, President Yudhoyono and King Abdul Halim will discuss mutual concerns," he added.
