Floodwater inundated the Guest House which is located between the Merdeka Palace and the State Palace.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Presidential spokesman Julian Pasha said the flood that occurred on Thursday did not cause serious damage at the presidential palace complex following the incessant rains in the previous night.

"There was no serious damage. The floodwater is now subsiding," Julian said here on Thursday.

According to him, around 30cm floodwater inundated the Guest House which is located between the Merdeka Palace and the State Palace.

The flood also caused the reschedule of meeting between President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his Argentine counterpart Cristina Elisabet Fernandez De Kirchner.

The meeting had originally been planned to take place on Thursday morning but was later postponed until Thursday afternoon at the Merdeka Palace.

The Indonesian delegation to the meeting included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, Industry Minister MS Hidayat, Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan, Agriculture Minister Suswono, Transport Minister EE Mangindaan, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, Research and Technology Minister Gusti Muhamad Hatta, Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam and Chief of the Investment Coordinating Board Muh Chatib Basri.

Meanwhile, the Argentine delegation included Foreign Minister Hector Timerman, Agriculture Minister Noberto Yahuar, Public Communications Minister Alfredo Scoccimaro, International Trade Minister Beatriz Paglieri and Argentine Ambassador Javier Sanz de Urquiza.(*)
