Bogor, West Java (Antara News) - Ruling Democrat Party chief patron President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono gathered the party leaders at his residence in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, on Friday to discuss problems in the party.

Earlier the party advisory board member Syarif Hasan said Yudhoyono had already found options to put the party in order.

Several party figures in the past few days had called on Yudhoyono to step in due to a drop in the party`s popularity following several party cadres` involvement in corruption cases.

Nine members of the party`s supreme council who are expected to attend the meeting are Yudhoyono as its chairman, Marzuki Alie, the deputy chairman, Jero Wacik, the secretary of the party`s advisory council, TB Silalahi, the party`s ethics council secretary, Anas Urbaningrum, party`s general chairman, Max Sopacua and Jhonny Alen, party`s deputy general chairmen and party`s secretary general Edhi Baskoro Yudhoyono and party`s executive director Toto Riyanto.(*)
