"The seized evidence was accumulated from the police disclosure for two months operation," Head of South Jakarta Metro Police Sector Station Kombespol Wahyu Hadiningrat said here Friday.
Hadiningrat estimated the seized marijuana can be consumed by two million persons.
The evidence extermination was in line with Article 91 and 45 of the Indonesian Criminal Code Procedures (KUHAP) no.35/2009 about narcotics.
During the two months operation, the South Jakarta Police had arrested 14 suspects of narcotics abuse.
The Police had also revealed a 1.18 tons worth narcotics circulation in Jakarta and Bogor, West Java, on Januari 25.(*)
