Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Political analyst Saleh Partaonan Daulay said the meeting between President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Prabowo Subianto was strategic meaning and will benefit both.

"Both has mutual interest. Inidrectly, Prabowo has hope that the president will support his nomination as a presidential hopeful in the 2014 presidential election," Saleh Partaonan Saulay said here on Monday.

President Yudhoyono in the meantime also needed Prabowo`s support in carrying out his state duties until the end of his presidential term, he added.

Prabowo is the chief patron of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) and Yudhoyono is also the chief patron of the ruling Democratic Party (PD).

Saleh said Yudhoyono was happy with the recent statement of Prabowo that he would support the government of the president until the end of his term.

"The meeting is a form of positive response of Yudhoyono to the statement of the Gerindra`s chief patron," he said.

Prabowo is invited by the president to the Palace at 3.30 pm. Prabowo will be accompanied by Gerindra Deputy Chairman Dadli Zon.

According to Fadli, the invitation of the president was dispatched by Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

He said that he did not know the agenda of their talks, expressing his appreciation of the president`s invitation.

Fadli said in politics a friendship meeting was an important thing and could develop more political maturity.
