Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian government has opened special on-line services for the public to know costs of public services and also report possible irregularities.

In a press statement received here on Friday, the President`s Working Unit for Development Control and Supervision (UKP4) said the public as of now could access www.satulayanan.net to know the costs of public services they want and also report in case they find irregularities in the field.

The government in collaboration with the Civil Community Organization (OMS) through the Indonesia Government Open Movement has opened the internet service to help the public easily find services and their costs as well as promote transparency.

A total of 111 public services has been ready to be accessed by the public and following its soft launch in August 2012 it has received more than 70,000 hits until now, it said.

The UKP4 in cooperation with the Ombudsman Republik Indonesia has also opened on-line service www.lapor.ukp.go.id where the public could convey their complaints, it said.

"This is an integrated national site to receive public complaints and cut bureaucracy. It has now been connected with ministries/state institutions and since January 2013 with the Jakarta provincial government," Amri Priyadi, the operator of Lapor! site from UKP4 said.

The UKP4 in its efforts to improve public service and transparency has also provided twitter service through @Lapor_UKP4 Number 1708.
