Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono completed his working visit to Singapore and left for Myanmar on Tuesday.

The president and his entourage departed from Singapore`s Changi International Airport at 10.45 am local time for a three-hour and 20-minute flight to Nya Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

Presidential special staff for international relations Teuku Faizasyah said President Yudhoyono was scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with his Myanmar`s counterpart U Thein Sein.

According to him, the two leaders will discuss the progress of Indonesia-Myanmar cooperation in various fields and ways to strengthen and to improve it in the future.

Faizasyah said several memoranda of understanding in the fields of capacity building, trade, and investment would be signed in the presence of Presidents Yudhoyono and Thein Sein.

Then from Nya Pyi Taw on Wednesday, President Yudhoyono and his entourage will leave for Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, to attend the 22nd ASEAN Summit.

While in Brunei Darusslam, the Indonesian head of state will also attend the Ninth Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-The Philippine East ASEAN Growth Area Summit, and the Seventh Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle Summit.

Finally on Friday, the president is scheduled to conclude his trip to the three ASEAN countries and return from Bandar Seri Begawan to Jakarta.(*)
