EUROJET Turbo GmbH, the European consortium behind the EJ200 engine project, celebrates the delivery of its 1000th EJ200 production engine. The landmark engine was assembled at the facilities of Industria de Turbo Propulsores S.A. (ITP) in Madrid, Spain and delivered to the Spanish Air Force on the 23rd May, 2013 to power the Eurofighter Typhoon fleet.

Guest speakers at the celebration, which took place at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik e.V. (DGAP) [German Council on Foreign Relations] in Berlin on the 4th June, included Mr Philip Dunne MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, United Kingdom and Mr Florian Hahn, MP, Member of the Defence Committee, Germany.
In his address, Mr Philip Dunne stated; 'this is a major milestone for this project and together the EJ200 and Eurofighter are a real and powerful example of what we can achieve together.'
Mr Clemens Linden, Managing Director of EUROJET, added in his closing statement: 'this is a European collaboration journey of success!'
