Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian currency rupiah closed flat on Wednesday against the US dollar with market players choosing to wait for the Fed to announce its decision on financial stimulus.

Rupiah traded at 10,280 per dollar the same position it had in previous day`s closing.

"Rupiah value fluctuated slightly as market players chose to wait and see the result of the meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC)," Monex Investindo Futures` chief researcher Ariston Tjendra said here on Wednesday.

Ariston said the US dollar was in stronger position ahead of the FOMC meeting on optimism that The Fed would begin to cut its financial stimulus this year despite turbulence in US economy.
