Data obtained from the Integrated Hajj Computerized Service System (Siskoat) showed that the number of deaths increased to 24 after three died in Mecca and one in Medina.
Those who died in Mecca were Muliana Rambe binti Abdul Rambe (59) of the Medan embarkation point (flight batch 15), Rukmini binti Abdullah (67) of the Jakarta embarkation point(flight batch 35) and another one whose identity was not yet revealed.
The one who died in Medina is Abdul Manan of Batam flight embarkation`s flight batch 14.
Head of the Indonesian Hajj Health Service (BPHI) in Medina dr Suharto said Indonesian hajj pilgrims had three health care service sections during staying in Saudi Arabia.
The first section is the health team which provides health services at each group of the hajj pilgrams` flight batches, the second one is in the hajj boardings and the third one is the BPHI in each of the hajj task force`s working area (Daker).
"BPHI Medina has an IGD room and 65 beds for in-patient treatment," he said.
He said that health care service in each section was provide only to stabilize the patient`s condition. After a six hour treatment, the patient would be referred to BPHI if his or her health conditions are improved.
Based on the data at the Diskohat service, there are a number of 1,389 patients who have undergone out-patient treatment after having their conditions examined in the BPHI. They consisted of 130 in Jidda, 415 in Medina and 844 in Mecca.
Besides that, there are 293 pilgrims who were referred to Saudi Arabia`s hospitals.
