Canberra (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President Boediono has arrived in Canberra to meet Prime Minister Tony Abbot to discuss illegal immigrants traveling by sea, as well as the recent wiretapping incident.

"There are the possibilities to discuss more about illegal immigrants traveling by sea and the wiretapping that was allegedly carried out by the Australian Government," said the Vice Presidents Secretary on Politic Sector, Dewi Fortuna Anwar, in Canberra on Tuesday.

During his working visit to Canberra, VP Boediono is also scheduled to meet with opposition party members in the Australian Parliamentary Office.

VP and Mrs Herawati Boediono arrived in Canberra on Tuesday aboard the presidential plane Indonesia-2, a National Air Force Boeing 737-400.

The working visit is to be followed by meetings with Education and Cultural Minister Muhammad Nuh, Vice Chairman of Peoples Consultative Assembly Hajrianto Thohari and Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reformation Minister Azwar Abubakar.

Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop welcomed the group at Fairbairn Military base Airport in Canberra.

Canberra is the second stop by VP Boediono during his working visit to Australia. Earlier on Sunday night (Nov 10), they visited Perth, West Australia at the invitation of the University of Western Australia and Premier of Western Australia Colin Barnett.

After Canberra, VP Boediono will be off to Melbourne before returning to Indonesia on Saturday (Nov 16). (Uu.A060/Uu.INE/B003)
