Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Rector of Paramadina University Professor Anies Baswedan, who is one of the convention participants of the ruling Democratic partys presidential candidates for 2014 presidential election, campaigned in several cities across Java.

"Thank God, we have completed the first stage of our tour. We will evaluate the results of our visit," Anies stated here on Wednesday after his return from a tour of Java.

Anies, along with his entourage, made a tour of Java, this week, by visiting at least 11 cities: Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Yogyakarta, Kediri, Blitar, Jombang, Bangkalan, Surabaya, Rembang, Semarang, and Pekalongan.

The Paramadina rector completed a four-day road tour of Java to conduct the campaign activity dubbed "3 thousand Kilometers to raise expectations."

"This is the conclusion of the first phase, though it is not the end of the tour," Anies clarified, stating that one phase is not enough.

According to Anies, his team will evaluate the results of the first phase in which he introduced his proposed program to the masses.

Anies also asserted that he followed the teachings and experiences of the founders of the Republic of Indonesia, who traveled extensively around the country for discussions.
