Medan, N Sumatra (ANTARA News) - A helicopter, identified as PK-DAL Derazona, fell from the third floor of the Efarina Etaham Hospital building in Jamin Ginting, Kabanjahe Street, North Sumatra, on Monday, at 10 a.m. local time, a spokesman stated.

The helicopter went down when it was about to take off and was carrying three employees of the hospital, noted Jhonson Tarigan, public relations officer of the hospital here on Monday.

He further added that one of the on-board passengers, identified as Arif Setiawan, was killed in the incident.

The three hospital employees were identified as Nilawaty Ginting, Yahya Sembiring, and Torang Simanjorang.

Jhonson informed that the Pilot Budi Indra and the three hospital employees sustained serious injuries in the crash.

According to Jhonson, no immediate report stating the cause of the helicopter crash was available.

Until now, the third floor of the Efarina Etaham hospital building was used as an emergency helipad, Jhonson claimed.

He noted that following a failed take off, the helicopter crashed in the hospital yard.(*)
