... we don`t need to worry because everything can be done with the response policy and proper action."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held a meeting with Bank Indonesia (BI), the central bank; and Financial Service Authority (OJK) officials, here on Tuesday, to discuss the coordination of national economic system.
During the meeting, the president expressed his hope that although BI and OJK are independent institutions, they can synergize, consult and cooperate with other government elements to overcome various economic problems.
"With good synergy, consultation and cooperation, we dont need to worry because everything can be done with the response policy and proper action," the president emphasized.
Present at the meeting were BI Governor Agus Martowardojo, Deputy Senior Mirza Adityaswara, and BI Deputy Gubernur for Makroprudential and Stability of Financial System Halima Alamsyah, OJK Chairman Muliaman D Hadad, Deputy Chairman Rahmat Waluyanto, head of banking supervisory executive Nelson Tampubolon and chief of capital market supervisory executive Nurhaida.
The president was accompanied by Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Finance Minister Chatib Basri, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam among others.
