Makassar, S Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - South Sulawesi Governor H Syahrul Yasin Limpo received a supreme civil award of the state from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for making South Sulawesi the best province in Indonesia.

"This is the award that we have received for the third consecutive year," Syahrul said here on Friday.

During the conferment ceremony, President Yudhoyono highly appreciated Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo who had successfully made South Sulawesi the best province in Indonesia for three straight years.

Yudhoyono said the award dubbed Samkaryanugraha Parasamya Purna Karya Nugraha was rare, because it was based on complex variables with thousands of indicators that must be fulfilled to achieve it.

Syahrul said a series of awards that he had received, including Samkaryanugraha Parasamya Purna Karya Nugraha, was the result of solid cooperation and synergy between the local government and the stakeholders, particularly the people of South Sulawesi.

By receiving the samkarya award, the South Sulawesi government had secured three supreme civil award of the state, according to the regional administration bureau at the secretariat of the South Sulawesi province.

The three supreme awards were Bintang Mahaputra Utama, Satyalancana Karya Bakti Praja Nugraha, and Parasamya Purna Karya Nugraha(*)
