We will form a supporting team for the off-shore oil and gas exploration by SKK Migas and PT Total."Bengkulu (ANTARA News) - Bengkulu provincial administration will support the offshore oil and natural gas exploration project in the province by the Special Task Force for oil and gas business activities (SKK Migas) and Total E&P Indonesia Mentawai B.V.
"We will form a supporting team for the off-shore oil and gas exploration by SKK Migas and PT Total," Bengkulu Governor Junaidi Hamsyah stated here on Wednesday.
The governor made the statement after attending a coordination meeting with SKK Migas and the board of directors from PT Total E&P Indonesia Mentawai B.V.
He pointed out that the establishment of the supporting team for the deep-water exploration of oil and gas in the province was made on the basis of the Governor Decree No.P.241.XXVII/2014.
The decree, which was signed on April 22, involved 22 relevant institutions for the exploration.
"We hope that the team will facilitate SKK Migas-Total E&P Indonesia Mentawai B.V. for the start of the exploration by the end of June this year," the governor asserted.
