Statistics presented on Tuesday by Guineas Health ministry show that ten patients are currently hospitalized, 4 in Conakry and 6 in the southeast town of Guekedou.
During a press briefing in Conakry, Guineas Health Minister Remy Lamah said measures had been taken to treat patients who had contracted the virus and to continue sensitization of the population on individual as well collective preventive measures.
At the same time, through funding from the Guinean government and the countrys technical health partners, drugs and protective kits have been distributed to health workers and vulnerable populations in high risk zones.
