I will never wear it again. I have learnt my lesson."Palu (ANTARA News) - Vice Chairman of Gerindra Party Fadli Zon said it is an exaggeration if people compare Prabowo Subianto to Nazi, because Indonesia has nothing to do with Nazi.
"It is overreacting (concern whether Prabowo will lead like Nazi). I think people are smart enough to understand the situation and condition," said Fadli here on Friday.
The Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa pair will contest against the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla duo in the presidential election.
Previously, Indonesian singer and music producer Ahmad Dhani was dressed up as Heinrich Himmler, in a video in support of presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto. Heinrich Himmler was one of the Nazi leaders who were directly responsible for the Holocaust.
Ahmad Dhani and three finalists of Indonesian Idol, including Husein, Nowela, and Virzha, performed a music video to support Prabowos presidential campaign, in which they combined Queens "We Will Rock You" with the lyrics of "Who will awaken Indonesia from its misery if not us? Prabowo-Hatta!"
According to Fadli, the way Indonesian artists support Prabowo is an expression of creativity.
However, Ahmad Dhani finally apologized on Thursday (26/7) for dressing up as Heinrich Himmler in the video.
"I will never wear it again. I have learnt my lesson," Dhani was quoted as saying from the "Jakarta Globe."
