Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The survey conducted by Bank Indonesia (BI/the central bank) in June 2014 indicated a slight weakening of the consumers confidence index compared with that in the previous month.

The consumer confidence index in June 2014 was recorded at 116.3, slightly weakening from that in the previous month at 116.9.

The data obtained from the BI website on Thursday revealed that the weakening in the consumer confidence index was due to a decline in the consumers perception on the present economic condition compared with the economic condition six months earlier.

On the basis of quarterly records, the average consumers confidence index was recorded at 115.7, down from 117.0 in the first quarter of 2014.(*)
