According to data the number of train passengers from July 18 to July 29 reached 2,568,574 or rose 17.26 percent from last year, head of the ministrys public communications JA Barata said in a statement received here on Wednesday.
The number of domestic air travelers from July 21 to July 29 meanwhile was recorded at 1,849,310 or increased by 11.35 percent from the same period last year, he said.
