The 14 fighters, believed to be members of the al-Qaida- linked Nusra Front, were killed by the Syrian airstrike that targeted their position in the town of Morek in the central province of Hama, according to the report.
In a separate attack on Sunday, the Syrian troops also killed tens of the Nusra fighters by airstrikes against the groups positions in the Tal Fas area in Hama on Sunday, said the same report.
The recent development is part of the Syrian troops push to dislodge the Nusra fighters from the northern countryside of Hama.
Last month, the Syrian army wrested back control over the town of Halfaya and its surroundings in the northern countryside of Hama after intense battles with the Nusra Front fighters.
The Syrian troops have been deadlocked in endless battles with an array of rebel groups, including al-Qaida-affiliated ones, during the countrys long-running conflict that has claimed the lives of over 190,000 people since the crisis erupted in mid-March 2011.
