KPK only provides track record but whether the names are chosen or not it is up to Jokowi.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has submitted the results of the track record of ministerial candidates to president-elect Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"It was true that Jokowi met with KPK leaders at 20:30 to 21:15 p.m. local time at the KPKs office," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said here on Sunday evening.
According to Johan, there were four people of KPK leaders who met with Jokowi.
"There were Abraham Samad, Adnan Pandu Praja, Zulkarnain and Bambang Widjojanto, without without Busyro Muqoddas," Johan said.
Johan remarked that the leaders met with Jokowi without his transition team.
"Jokowi was alone at that time, because the names were immediately handed over to Jokowi," said Johan.
During the meeting, they discussed two agendas.
"The first was to discuss and review the track record of the ministerial candidates and the second agenda was about the planned corruption eradication programs during the Jokowi-JKs government," Johan noted.
However, Johan did not convey the commissions assessment of those names.
"KPK only provides track record but whether the names are chosen or not it is up to Jokowi," he affirmed.
On Friday (October 17) Chairman and Deputy of the transition team Rini Mariani Soemarno and Hasto Kristiyanto submitted the names of ministerial candidates to the anti-graft body for track record investigation.
But they claimed that they did not know the contents of the names of the ministerial candidates.
"We are not going to tell about the names to vice president, transition team, and others. We just want to convey reports on the candidates track records to Jokowi," Abraham said.(*)
