"We are still waiting of the KPK`s recommendation. If the red markings are no longer found, the cabinet line-up can be announced to night," JK said.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla said that the names of ministers can be announced on Friday evening if there is no longer the Corruption Eradication Commissions (KPK) red marking on any candidate.

"We are still waiting of the KPKs recommendation. If the red markings are no longer found, the cabinet line-up can be announced to night," he said here Friday.

Speaking to journalists when questioned about President Joko Widodos cabinet line-up, he said the new names of ministerial candidates had been submitted to the antigraft body to substitute those that it did not recommend.

"The final result will likely be available on Friday afternoon. If we do not find red marking on any name in the list (of the ministerial candidates), we can directly announce (names in the cabinet line-up)," he said.

President Joko Widodo, who was inaugurated on Monday, has yet to announce the names of his cabinet ministers.

According to the Peoples Power Front for Democracy, one of the organizations that voluntarily campaigned for Joko Widodo during the recent presidential election, the new president "must be cautious about the people he selects".

"He must listen to the recommendations of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK)," Gatot Ario Bimo, the fronts chairman, said.

KPK Chairman Abraham Samad said the anti-graft body has recommended the head of state not choose the ministerial candidates who have been given red or yellow marking in the verification report of their track records.

"The meaning of yellow and red marks is the same. The candidates who got yellow and red marks should not be selected as ministers," he stressed. (*)
