"We have signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese airline to support this service," Garuda Indonesia General Manager for Beijing Asa Perkasa said here on Wednesday.
Garuda will use a Boeing 747-400 to serve chartered flights from Chengdu, Chongqin, Ningbo an Kunming in China to Bali during the Chinese New Year vacation, he said.
"The services will last from February 14 to March 6," he said.
To serve chartered flights during the Summer holiday from July 15 to August 15, Garuda Indonesia will operate an A-330 plane to fly from Jinan, Harbin, Xian, Shenyang and Chengzhou to Bali, he said.
The chartered flight services will not disrupt Garuda Indonesias regular flights from Beijing to Bali via Jakarta, from Shanghai to Jakarta, and from Guangzhou to Jakarta vice versa.
"If we have four regular flights a week and three chartered flights a week there will be Garuda flights from China to Indonesia everyday," he said.
With the chartered flights, Garuda Indonesia will hopefully see its load factor increase two-folds, he said.
China is a potential market, with almost 100 million of its population traveling abroad every year, he said.
