Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo chaired a coordination meeting with mayors from across the country at the Bogor Palace here on Friday.

"It is necessary that such a meeting is held every three months, so that the problems that exist below can be shared, and the design of policies can be connected from the city government to the central government," President Jokowi stated while opening the meeting.

Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo reported that the coordination meeting at the Bogor Palace on Friday was attended by all mayors across the country.

"The president has held a coordination meeting with the governors and district heads, and this time, it is special for the mayors across the country to get directives from the head of state," Tjahjo noted.

However, he pointed out that three mayors, one from Banda Aceh and two from Bima, had failed to arrive at the meeting on time due to obstacles encountered in obtaining their tickets to Jakarta.(*)
