London (ANTARA News) - Indonesia supports resolution of Irans nuclear issue through the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)-Iran Framework of Cooperation and Irans Joint Plan of Action (JPOA) with Britain, Germany, France, the US, China, and Russia E3+3 (P5+1).

The statement was made during the IAEA Board of Governors meeting held in Vienna, Austria, on March 2-5, 2015, Dody Kusumonegoro, the spokesman of the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna, informed a London-based Antara correspondent on Thursday.

A way out through diplomatic means must be prioritized to find a long-term, comprehensive, and peaceful solution, according to the Indonesian delegation.

Indonesia hailed the progress achieved through continuous dialog between the IAEA and the Iranian government within the Framework of Cooperation.

The outstanding practical measures agreed upon in the Framework of Cooperation should be implemented soon, the Indonesian government stated.

Within the E3+3 negotiations, Indonesia hoped that the participating nations could restore trust and achieve the targets in accordance with the schedules.

Indonesia urged the international community, particularly those not involved in the E3+3 negotiations, to respect the ongoing talk process and to not hamper or stall it.

In the meantime, during the IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano stated that the agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement.

The agency continues to undertake monitoring and verification in relation to the nuclear-related measures outlined in the JPOA agreed between Iran and the E3+3 countries.

"Last month, I held talks with the Foreign Minister of Iran HE Mr Mohammad Javad Zarif. We agreed on the importance of continuing dialogue between the agency and Iran at all levels. I also stressed the need to resolve, as soon as possible, all outstanding issues related to Irans nuclear program," he noted.

Recently, he also held a follow-up meeting with Irans Deputy Foreign Minister Araghchi that provided a useful opportunity to consider the way forward.
