The series of criminal offenses has caused public unrest."Gorontalo (ANTARA News) - An unidentified person attacked a soldier of the Battalion 713 in Gorontalo city on Saturday night (June 27).
The soldier who was identified as MA was stabbed in the right back and was receiving intensive medical treatment at a local hospital, Chief of the Gorontalo Provincial Police Brig. Gen. Andjaja said here on Sunday.
The police are investigating the case.
Adjaja asked the public to keep calm and refrain from linking the case to the previous criminal offense in the city.
Several police officers have arrived in the scene which is not far from the military sub-district command station and the police precinct in North Gorontalo sub-district,
On June 15, 2015, a police officer identified as 2nd Brigadier Andre Budiono was found dead on the yard of his rented house which is not far from Dua Susun Street in Gorontalo.
Almost at the same time adjutant of Bone district head Bolango Mohamad Purnomo Wartabone was also killed by an unidentified person.
The series of murder cases has caused public unrest.
"Right now we are afraid of going out at night. The series of criminal offenses has caused public unrest. We ask security agencies to stay alert," a local resident said.
