The FEALAC ministerial meeting was held in San Jose, Costa Rica, on Friday, under the theme, "Two Regions, One Vision."
Minister Marsudi said connectivity will support the supply-chain among countries in the East Asian and Latin American regions.
Easier access to supply-chains and trade flow will allow the two regions to enjoy inclusive and sustainable growth.
Minister Marsudi also addressed the role of the public-private partnerships in order to enhance the connectivity between the two regions.
The establishment of a trade regulation database will help efforts to eliminate unnecessary barriers between economies and lead to fragmentation of trade and investment flows.
Minister Marsudi noted that FEALACs policy must provide direct benefits for the people of all member countries.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Minister Marsudi also held bilateral meetings with her counterparts, including El Salvadors Foreign Affairs Minister, Hugo Martinez.
Both ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on visa exemptions for Indonesian and El Salvador diplomatic and service passport holders.
During the bilateral meeting, Indonesia and El Salvador also agreed to hold a Bilateral Consultation and Trade Delegation Visit to Jakarta in October 2016.
Earlier, during a press briefing held in Jakarta, Foreign Affairs Ministrys spokesperson Arrmanatha Nasir noted that the 2015 FEALAC conference sought to complete a document entitled the "San Jose Declaration".
The San Jose Declaration would underline the commitment of the FEALAC members in combating poverty and strengthening sustainable development, such as through South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation.
Nasir said, in regards to promoting FEALAC and to enhance people-to-people contacts among the member countries, that Indonesia will hold the FEALAC Youth Conference in Bandung, West Java, on September 18-22, 2015.
FEALAC is the only inter-regional cooperation forum among the 36 member countries in East Asia and Latin America. FEALAC aims to increase mutual understanding, trust, political dialogue, and friendly cooperation among member states in the Asian and Latin American regions. The first FEALAC meeting was held in Singapore in 1999.
