Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry or Kemenpora and the Serbian Sports Ministry have signed a cooperation pact enabling the two countries to exchange experiences in the fields of sports and youth affairs.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the fields of sports and youth was signed by Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi and the Serbian Sports Minister Vanja Udovicic, as per the ministrys press release received here on Monday.

Through such cooperation, the two countries can exchange experiences with regard to sports and youth affairs.

"Both countries can cooperate in many sports, such as tennis, since Serbia has the world tennis elites. In the meantime, Indonesia has made good achievements in badminton and martial arts," Nahrawi stated.

According to the minister, both Indonesia and Serbia are expected to prepare themselves, because both have good resources in the field of sports and youth.

Before engaging in cooperation with Serbia, Indonesias Kemenpora had also cooperated with Iran regarding youth and sports affairs.(*)
