Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir paid a courtesy visit to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace, here, Tuesday.

Jokowi was accompanied by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi while receiving the Saudi minister.

Earlier, Minister Al Jubeir and Minister Marsudi held a meeting at the foreign ministrys office to discuss various areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Al Jubeirs visit was a follow-up of a bilateral meeting between President Jokowi and Saudi King Salman Abdul Aziz bin Saud during the presidents visit to Saudi last September.

During the meeting, the two leaders agreed to establish bilateral cooperation in several fields.(*)
