They all stood in orderly rows before the ceremony inspector. The same ceremony was held in 45 districts/cities across the country as part of efforts to recruit 4,500 cadres.
In his speech defense minister Ryamizard said the aim of the program was mentality building to make people of Indonesia have awareness to love the country, be loyal and ready to sacrifice for the nation and the state.
"This activity is aimed at making community members behave and act with respect to state defense as well have awareness and love to the natioon and state," he said.
He hoped through the program cadres could spread what they learned from it to community members as part of mental revolution.
"Cadres are expected to be able to spread spirit of state defense among community members aroudn them so that the program could be part of the nationas mental revolution," he said.
Defense minister Ryamizard expressed pride to the cadres calling them as state defense ambasadors who will explain the essence of stte defense to the people.
"You are ambassadors who are assigned to make people understand (about state defense) as many people do not understand it. Almost two weeks before many people stilll do not understand or would like to u derstand it," he said.
He told cadres to be discipline and attend the whole sessions and apply what they learn in their daily lives.
"I am proud of you all. For a month you must seriously learn what the instructors tell you so that you can spread it across Indonesia," he said.(*)
