"(We) discussed three issues in the meeting. The first was about trade, the second was related to investment, and the (third) briefly about tourism," Jokowi stated at a joint press conference.
Jokowi offered investment in infrastructure to Australian investors.
"We will also offer opportunities to invest in cattle breeding. Just now, we also invited the prime minister to encourage investment in cattle breeding in NTT (East Nusa Tenggara) and NTB (West Nusa Tenggara)," he affirmed.
Indonesia also has huge potential in the digital economic sector this year, he pointed out.
"We invite Australian investors to also participate in this field," he remarked.
Speaking in the context of radicalism and terrorism eradication, Jokowi offered cooperation through the exchange of intelligence information.
President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo welcomed Turnbull and his spouse, Lucy Turnbull, at the Merdeka Palace.
From Jakarta, Turnbull will then head to Germany to hold talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel before the G20 Summit in Turkey, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in the Philippines, and the East Asia Summit in Malaysia.(*)
