Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - Deputy governor of Special Territory of Yogyakarta Sri Paduka Pakualam IX passed away at Dr Sardjito general hospital here on Saturday at 03:10 p.m. local time, hospital spokesman said. He was 77.

"He (Sri Paduka Pakualam) passed away after receiving intensive medical treatment for 15 days," the hospitals public relations officer, Tresno Heru Nugroho, stated here on Saturday.

Nugroho said Pakualam had been under treatment in the hospital since November 6, 2015 due to old age complications.

Sri Paduka Pakualam IX was born on Mei 7, 1938.(*)
