Bandung, West Java (ANTARA News) - Six people were killed when a Daihatsu Luxio minivan hit a car from behind at KM128.200 section of the Cipali Toll Road, Indramayu District, West Java, at 4a.m. on Sunday.

West Java Police Spokesman Senior Commissioner Sulistyo Pudjo Hartono said the Luxio minivan D1277 ZJ which carried 11 passengers was believed to have been at high speed but its driver was not able to take control of his car and hit a car in front.

"The identity of the car which was hit was not known yet," the Police said.

The incident took place when the Daihatsu Luxio minivan was speeding from Cikopo to Palimanan, Cirebon.

Suyanto, the driver was believed to be sleepy and could not control his car.

The dead victims were five men and one woman. One suffered serious injuries. They were all taken to Ciereng Hospital in Subang. Four others who sustained light injuries were taken to Siloam Hospital in Purwakarta.

The dead victms are Nasir (50), Pendi (40), Heri (40), Enco (30), Ms X (50) a household, Mr X (30).(*)
