Bandung, W Java (ANTARA News) - Five passengers of a minivan, Suzuki APV, were killed when it hit a parking truck in the rear at the Jakarta-Cirebon highway in Subang District in West Java on Friday, police confirmed.

Public relations officer of the West Java police office, Senior Commissioner Sulistyo Pudjo Hartono said here on Friday that the APV car with police plate number B 2509 ZP which was being driven by Jakarta resident Ahmad Surista suddenly ran off the road and crashed into a truck trailer box with plate number N 9286 UA.

The dead victims were identified by their initials as minivan driver Ahmad Surista (50), Rusni (45), Taufik (40), Aufa (three months old) and Fitriadi Ahmad (32).

In addition, the passengers who were seriously injured were Carerina (11), Toni Arif Firmansyah (34), Iis (32), Mualim (33), Mefa (15) and Bintang (5).

Apart from that, Intan, a two year-old female toddler, suffered minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident which occurred in Margajaya village, Ciasem Hilir Village, District Ciasem. The accident occurred on Friday at around 6:45 pm.

In the meantime, a motor bike driver identified as Eko Haryanto was also killed after he was hit by a TransJakarta bus in West Jakarta on Friday, police said.
