Blue House, Seoul (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with South Korean President Park Geun-hye at Cheong Wa Dae Palace," known as the "Blue House," on Monday to discuss efforts to enhance bilateral ties.

President Jokowi arrived at the Blue House in his presidential car at around 03.00 p.m. local time. President Park greeted the Indonesian leader at the palaces yard, an Antara journalist observed.

Jokowi and Park went straight to the podium set up there on the yard to hear the Indonesian anthem Indonesia Raya and the South Korean anthem, Ae Kukka.

The two leaders later went by car, inspecting troops of South Korea and greeting children waving the national flags of the two countries.

After shaking hands with a number of South Korean ministers and officials, Jokowi and Park entered the Blue House to discuss efforts to enhance ties between the two countries.

The two nations are expected to sign seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during Jokowis visit to South Korea.

The MoUs deal, among others, with expanding and amending the earlier MoU on special economic zone, creative industry, maritime cooperation, sports cooperation, peat land management, infrastructure and corruption eradication.

Jokowi arrived in South Korea on May 15 on a four-day state visit.

On Monday evening, Park will host a state banquet in honor of the Indonesian president at Young Bin Gwan, Blue House Palace.
