Females singles player, Fitriani, who played in the third match, was defeated by Bae Yeon Ju in a rubber game 13-21, 21-14, 15-21.
The Indonesian team was eliminated because it had lost in the previous two matches.
In the first womens singles match, Maria Febe Kusumastuti lost to Sung Ji Hyun 13-21, 12-21 and the second match Greysia Polii pairing with Anggia Shitta Awanda surrendered to Jung Kyung Eun and Shin Seung Chan 13-21, 19-21 during the womens double event.
"Younger players in our team need to be more courageous and have more self-confidence. Their combative spirit must be boosted," Greysia, the captain of the team said.
Greysia explained that pressure in the group tournament was stronger than in the individual event.
"Players with standard capabilities in the individual event could improve when playing in the group event and the other way round," she added.
Greysias pairing with Nitya Krishinda Maheswati was ranked second in the world during the womens double event.
Meanwhile, at the Thomas Cup mens event, the Indonesian team was able to proceed to the semi-final round after beating the team from Hong Kong 3-1 on Thursday.
Angga Pratamas pairing with Ricky Karanda Suwardi, who played in the fourth match, successfully overpowered their opponents from Hong Kong�Law Cheuk Him/Yeung Shing Choi�21-16, 21-14 to conclude the matches that day in favor of the Indonesia team.
"After Jonatan won, we have become more confident," Angga said after the match.
The Indonesian pair, who is ranked 12th in the world, controlled the games throughout the match.
In the first match, Tommy Sugiarto won over Ng Ka Long Angus 11-21, 21-19, 21-15.
The Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan duo however failed to make a point after they were beaten by Or Chin Chung/Tang Chun Man 17-21, 19-21.
Jonatan gave a hope to the team after he was able to defeat Hu Yun 21-14, 18-21, 21-16 in the fourth match before Angga/Ricky finally concluded the match with a victory over Law/Yeung.
In the semi-final round, the Indonesian team will meet a team from China or South Korea.
Ricky said the team was ready to meet either of them. "Both two teams have shown strong performance and stamina. We are also motivated to meet China, although we would be playing against them in their home," he said.(*)
