Lubuk Basung, W Sumatra (ANTARA News) - A bus carrying 20 passengers plunged into a 20-meter deep ravine in Jorong Panta village, Agam district, West Sumatra province, on Tuesday, leaving six people injured.

All the injured were taken to the Yarsi Hospital in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, chief of the Agam district polices traffic unit, Adjunct Commissioner Arnanda Putra, said.

They were being treated at the hospital for a fracture in the leg. The other passengers returned home as they only had blisters.

No fatalities were reported in the accident.

The bus met with the accident while on its way from Air Bangis to Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.

The driver of the ill-fated bus, identified as Nanda Yulianto, is being detained at the Agam district police station.(*)
