"We will conduct an audit of the human resources, finance, and program (RRI). Three chains cannot be separated because ultimately they can make our business so strong," he said at RRI Building, Jakarta, on Friday.
Rohanuddin, who was appointed here Friday (July, 22) as new president director of LPP RI, expressed his desire to bring the institution "close" to the listeners.
That hope, he added, is not only through entertaining the public for profit, but more because RRI wants to provide radio broadcast content which also educates.
"Therefore, we must have a lot of listeners, and if not many listeners, the value of the intellectual level of the public to be very small. It is also our duty as a public broadcaster to make people self-sufficient," he said.
Rohanuddin, who previously served as director of technology and new media, also said that they will continue to build and develop a studio production station, as well as improve a radio broadcasting transmitter in order to remain affordable in the border area and the archipelago.
Related to the proposed merger of the status of the institution by Television of the Republic of Indonesia (TVRI), former head of the Surabaya RRI said each party has renewed the broadcast modules and human resources, thus improving the status of the two institutions which they claimed can perform.(*)
