The Director of Narcotics Investigation of the Central Java Police Senior Commissioner Reinhard Silitonga revealed here on Thursday that the illicit goods were delivered by plane and had arrived in Semarang on Wednesday.
The package was addressed to a resident of Grobogan District, Restanto (22), whose name and address were written on the package.
"It was sent from Aceh to Central Java," Reinhard said about the origin of the marijuana.
On Thursday morning, the police arrested Restanto, who had been contacted earlier by an undercover police officer to pick up the marijuana package.
The authority also arrested another suspect, allegedly involved in a network for circulating marijuana in Grobogan District.
The police of Central Java is investigating the case.(*)
