According to Prof. Ari Purbayanto, Education and Culture Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, here on Monday, the certificates were handed over at CLC Ladang Tiga, Miri, on Saturday (Oct 22).
Ari said the CLC admission certificates from the Malaysian Ministry of Education are the basis for the two countries to cooperate in solving the educational problems faced by Indonesian children in Sarawak, through the professional and familial CLCs.
The admission certificate denotes the Malaysian Ministry of Educations acknowledgement of Indonesian CLCs in Sarawak state.
The certificates were handed over by Akhmad Lotfi bin Zubir, Deputy Director of Private Education at the Malaysian Ministry of Education, to Ari and Jahar Gultom, the Indonesian Consulate General in Kuching.
Jahar expressed hope that the certificate is an initial step to improve Indonesian educational program for children in Sarawak.
Lotfi said he was also committed to complete the admission certificates for other Indonesian CLCs.(*)
