Through his personal twitter account, @SBYudhoyono on Monday, the 6th RI President said he would submit an explanation this week on the measures taken by the government during the period from 2004 to 2009.
"During the last two weeks, media and public discussion related to the findings in the document were very aggressive," said Yudhoyono.
He noted there was intense public discussion, in context, but that issue had been politicized.
"In two weeks, as the former President, I continued to work with former officials to prepare an explanation," he said.
He added, "We reopened all documents, records and our memories, to recall what the government did in law enforcement in the Munir case. We want to not only follow up on the findings of TPF Munir, but what has been done by the government since November 2004."
Munir, a human rights activist, died on 7 September 2004 on the way to Amsterdam. SBY was a presidential candidate at that time.
Munirs wife, Suciwati, said she met with SBY three weeks after his inauguration as President.
"Less than a week after the meeting, TPF Munir's cause of death had not been established, so we sent police to the Netherlands, to investigate the Munir case," he said.
SBY said that he was reluctant to say much about the issue of TPF Munir report results.
"I chose restraint and not to react in responding to accusations. This is an important and sensitive issue. It is also a matter of truth and justice," he said.
He added, "Explanation will be noted in the next 2-3 days. They must be based on facts, logic and, of course, also the truth." (*)
