Cirebon, W Java (ANTARA News) - The Cirebon immigration office has deported four Chinese nationals for violating their stay permits in Indonesia.

"The four foreigners were deported to Beijing on Tuesday (Jan 10) at 10:45 p.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Standard Time) aboard Garuda Indonesia Airways flight number GA890 from the Soekarno Hatta International Airport," Raja Ulul Azmi, head of the Cirebon immigration offices supervision and enforcement section, stated here, Wednesday.

Although the Chinese citizens arrived on visit visas, they were in fact working in a Hebel factory in West Palimanan Village, Gempol Sub-district, Ciberon District.

"They entered the country in August 2016 using visit visas obtained through a sponsor," he revealed.

The four Chinese have been identified as 53-year-old Zhang Hongmei, 54-year-old Liu Meihua, 53-year-old Sun Shuilai, and 35-year-old Sun Dongjie.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Immigration Office in Sukabumi, West Java Province, has temporarily detained three Chinese nationals found to be working illegally at a brick factory here.

The three workers, identified as 44-year-old Mingjie Chen, 41-year-old Hui Lin, and 40-year-old Jingui Lin, were technicians in a low-tech brick manufacturing firm, Head of the Sukabumi Immigration Office Filianto Akbar had stated last week.

Following interrogation, it was revealed that the Chinese men had worked for six months at the brick factory without a valid work permit, while they only had a visit visa, Akbar confirmed.

"The three workers have been temporarily detained at the Sukabumi Immigration Office, while they await further procedures," Akbar explained.(*)
