"We should prepare policies to accommodate the global problems and challenges," Jokowi said here on Monday.
The President has delivered his directive during the opening of Indonesia Military Leadership Meeting 2017 in the Indonesia Military Headquarter.
He said the global transformation occurs amid the economic slowdown. The policy, says Jokowi, should be ready to accommodate each challenge.
During his speech, Jokowi also noted the global economy is still decelerate.
"Despite the global economic condition has not yet recovered, there are many transformations, including policies in the USA as the elected President Donald Trump will be inaugurated in the near future," the President said.
Besides, the advanced transformation in information and technology sectors should be a priority of all parties in adjusting the global transformation, Jokowi added.
Additionally, the Commander of Indonesia Military General Gatot Nurmantyo said the geographic condition of Indonesia has a very strategic position in the global politic level.
Nurmantyo said foreign conspiracies is a challenge for Indonesia to be accomodated.
Thus, the Indonesian government increasing unity as embodied in Pancasila as philosophical foundation of Indonesia.
The government also improving interconnectivity among islands in Indonesia and increasing food productivity to achieve food security.(*)
