The ministers visit, held from April 20 to 21, is aimed at following up his duty as the Investment Liaison Officer of Indonesia and Malaysia.
Eko was asked to carry out a number of tasks, such as seeking investment opportunities, identifying and addressing issues that hamper investment in Indonesia, guarding the process of investments realization, and reporting the implementation of its duties to the president.
During his visit to Malaysia, Eko will be mediating meetings between representatives of Indonesian and Malaysian companies to implement cooperation in a number of development projects.
In addition to the business meeting, Eko will also hold a number of one-to-one sessions with several representations of Indonesian and Malaysian companies.
During his stay in Malaysia, he will meet a number of high-ranking Malaysian officials such as Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, head of the Federal Land Development Authority, and Deputy Prime Minister.
He stated that a considerable investment opportunity from Malaysia should be welcomed and managed more seriously, so that besides creating a conducive investment climate, it can also attract more investors to have greater positive impacts on the welfare of the Indonesian people.
