Among the complaints raised by the Indonesian citizens included the difficulties they found when they returned to Indonesia because they have to show overseas employment cards (KTKLN).Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met with Indonesian citizens and distributed bicycles to a number of them at the Asia World Expo Ground in Hong Kong on Sunday.
The president talked to about 5,400 Indonesian citizens who attended the event called "Temu Kangen President RI dan Ibu Negara" (Reunion with Indonesian President and First Lady) at the Asia World Expo Ground.
During the audience, Jokowi said that Indonesia is a great country with about 17 thousand islands, 34 provinces, 516 districts/municipalities. It has 714 ethnic groups and 1,100 local languages.
He said that many state leaders praised the harmonious life in Indonesia regardless of its diversity.
"Indonesia remains united in one unity," the head of state said.
Therefore, Jokowi advised that (the people should) avoid friction that could cause disunity. "Although we are diverse, we remain one Indonesia," he added.
The president also asked for input regarding complaints of Indonesian citizens in Hong Kong.

Head of the National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers Abroad (BNP2TKI), Nusron Wahid, said that since 2015, the Indonesian citizens were no longer obligated to have overseas employment cards.
Jokowi who listened to Nusron Wahids answer said that he had ordered all of his rank and file to remove all barriers that hinder the services.
"Report immediately individuals who try to hinder the service process. Report all things about the individuals concern and where they work so that all thing will be clear. I do not want to hear things like this anymore," the president said.
On the occasion, the president also explained the development being carried out by the government, notably in the infrastructure, such as toll roads in Sumatra and the check points in the cross-border areas.(*)
